On order, EODMU 11 deploys as CTG RASAR (Respond, Assess and Render Safe) to a Forward Operating Station (FOS) to establish and lead Counter-IED (CIED) organizations, by assuming Operational control (OPCON) of Coalition Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Mobile Diving and Salvage (EOD/MDS) forces. From the OPCON position, EODMU 11 integrates units of action with maneuver elements to employ their expertise in trained areas of CIED, Counter Littoral Asymmetric Warfare (CLAW), Counter Explosive Hazards (CEH), Underwater Mine Counter-Measures (UMCM), and underwater search, salvage, and obstacle clearance across the spectrum of conflict to achieve unimpeded movement of combat forces and protection of coalition and civilian lives. |
